This all started back in 2007 when I discovered that most new fashion,
THE STORY
beauty, and lifestyle businesses didn't and still don't have the five-figure budgets
needed to hire a marketing agency to get their business exposure and the new
customers that they all desperately wish for. Rock star emerging designers never
get noticed much and some of the best new fashion businesses go down the drain
within three years; we've seen it time and time again, and as style connoisseurs it's
painful to watch. So I thought to myself, "How can we assist these business owners
who have deathly marketing budgets and still make it worth our time?" And it
came to me almost instantly. I thought, " If we can get a couple dozens businesses to pay
an affordable fee, we can create a platform and market to that single platform on behalf
of all of those businesses." Voila! GlamShop was born. Our first GlamShop in Houston, TX
in 2008 drew over 250 shoppers and and 15 vendors and as they say...the rest is history.
What Is GlamShop?
In its 3rd year, GlamShop is a multi-city exciting
shopping experience for powerful groups of sipping, savvy shopping
women ages 21+. Hundreds of women converge in each city for a day of
discount shopping for some of the nation’s best fashion, beauty and lifestyle
buys on the market. Cocktail sponsors provide complimentary
cocktails for eager shoppers to enjoy while shopping. All guests walk away
with a loaded glamshop glambag!
By the end of the day sponsors, partners, and vendor participants strengthen
brands, women enjoy memorable experiences to share, and everyone anticipates
the next GlamShop…Because Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!
Each year, the larger purpose of this all-day affair is to create a profitable,
unique, and fun, platform for all shoppers, sponsors, partners, and vendor participants.
Smart businesses see the power in reaching women in the most intimate way:
face-to-face. In this environment fashion, beauty, and lifestyle businesses have the
opportunity to personally engage with women, increase revenue, gain valuable feedback on
products and services, and really capture the answer to the universal question,
“What do women want?”
